The position challenges the incumbent to set high standards and goals for achievement in more than one functional area and take ownership of the respective region. Requirements for Applicants:
Educational: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
Experiential: 5 + years of senior management or leadership experience

Associated Tasks:
Achieve regional goals and revenue targets
? Ensure compliance to customs and SARS requirements
? Oversee daily operations and management of regional budget and costs.
? Ensure collaboration and synergies between operations and commercial teams in the region
? Engage regularly and meet with key customers for the region
? Drive commercially focused business vision for the region
? Develop performance objectives for the regional team in line with national targets.
? Liaise with external stakeholders, rail & ports to ensure an effective and efficient supply chain.
? Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
? Develop a culture of operational excellence and ensure it’s embedded in the region.
? Ensure customer service requirements are met and exceeded
? Ensure a safe operating environment for all staff in the region.
? Design regional strategy and set goals for growth

Strategic management competencies to shape and refocus the business for growth.
Understand key business financial drivers and interpretation of key indices.
Communication - Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (senior customer and staff/management)
Ability to negotiation with trade unions/ shop stewards on substantive / IR matters to ensure business stability.
Functional Knowledge
General management - with +- 5 years’ proven experience at senior management level.
Commercial and Operational experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics and refined metal exports in Africa.
Commercially astute senior manager with experience in commodity exports/imports, refined metals, FMCG and supply chain in Africa.
Proven record of accomplishment in improving business results and performance.
