Our client, a leader in the Telecommunications industry. is looking for a CA (SA) for a Senior Specialist: Business Excellence position. 9 month contract position

Role purpose:

Our client has adopted a Core Business Model (CBM) which ensures standardisation across Local Markets as part of a transformation programme. The core system that the CBM operates is SAP ERP with interfaces to/from other legacy systems.

In order to support the implementation as well as the future releases and continued process improvement- striving for world class transactional services, a strong Business Excellence Support team has been developed to ensure the smooth transition, stabilization and ongoing success of the functional processes. This Support team thus provides a pool of CBM process, SAP system, training, testing, continuous improvement and compliance expertise.

To be successful the individual will have a solid understanding of Financial processes and systems across an integrated systems landscape which incorporates several complementary business solutions and their respective interfaces. They will enjoy problem solving; understand performance metrics for world class organization and compliance (such as Internal Audit, SOX). They will support the FinOps team in South Africa and African Opcos. Interaction with peers in the Budapest and Indian Shared Service centers, Global Process owners, central Process Governance Team, Internal and External Audit will be essential.

Key Deliverables / Outputs

  • End-to-end knowledge of processes and systems covered in Core Business Model
  • Detailed SAP knowledge within the related modules of SAP ERP and good understanding of the integration points
  • Understand the key control points within the process
  • Able to explain complex technical and process details in terms that business partners understand for the respective process area, defect resolution and change requests and report testing
  • Actively participate in fit-gap workshops and resulting process & RICEFW design and testing activities (including testing materials preparation)
  • Taking a lead role in user acceptance testing
  • Training:
    • Provide training based on the Core Training Library and localization training materials
    • Through specific training, work to improve the general level of process/system knowledge in the organization
    • Improve existing core training materials and create new or additional training materials to support the knowledge transfer
    • Ensure one version of the truth by maintaining the Core Training Library
  • Process Performance management - Continuous Process Improvement
  • Knowledge of the efficiency and effectiveness attributes of world class processes
  • Ensure that the solution fits to local tax, legal & statutory regulations
  • Understand the performance metrics of an end to end process. Work with the core teams and wider organisation to implement improvements to drive the required performance metrics.
  • Report on key performance indicators
  • Relationship Management

    • To optimise customer satisfaction and add value to the business
    • Understand FSSC needs as well as OpCo’s needs and develop plans to address them
    • Resolve complaints relating to service delivery quickly and effectively
    • Promote high-quality service delivery and customer service processes
    • Gain solid knowledge of best practises in other Vodafone markets as well as external markets
    Work closely with the GPOs on initiatives and contribute to the GPO’s roadmapTo ensure a high quality service is provided to all Vodacom OpCo’sWorking closely, and partnering with the FSSC to drive the delivery of our targetsBusiness Transformation and ERP Deployment - work closely with the respective transformation teams to ensure business readiness & operational business transformation
